Our Mission
Empire of Christ Bookstore exists to make the Catholic intellectual tradition readily available to those who seek it. We are a Traditional Catholic bookstore specializing in political theology, philosophy, and economics. Our name, "Empire of Christ Bookstore" is a reference to the "Empire of Christ" written about in the Encyclical of Quas Primas by Pope Pius XI. "The empire of Christ over all nations was rejected."
What We Carry and Why
Our collection is deliberately curated. You will find works on:
- Political Theology: the relationship between divine order and earthly governance, drawing on centuries of Catholic thought.
- Philosophy: classical and scholastic texts that form the foundation of a Catholic understanding of truth, beauty, and the good.
- Economics: works that engage questions of economic life through a lens of justice and subsidiarity
These subjects are not separate from one another. Together, they form a coherent vision of how human society ought to be ordered, a vision rooted in Christ's kingship over every domain of life.
